The first meeting will be held via Zoom at 2pm on Friday 5th June. Please contact me by call or email to get the link.
I hope these will give us an opportunity to do a moderate dive into an individual's work and practice. I find these are really useful in making connections no matter what stage of making we feel we are at, and they are designed to help.
I have trialled a few of these outside the Mill, so I feel as confident as one can on the format although I am always open to suggestions and feedback. The natural Zooming limit seems to be around an hour, so please allow that if you can. The natural time to discuss seems to be around 20 minutes to a half hour, allowing space to breathe, so after our introductory remarks it would be great if someone would arrange in advance to volunteer to go first. I don't mind doing it, but as I'm organising that might feel a little strange, and I'd love to see what you are up to.
I'd like to start with these questions:
Who are you?
Your name and an idea of your practice, perhaps an image (?)
How are you?
What's been going with you, today and recently
What would you like to get out of the meeting?
I find it's good to say out loud, but please don't feel constrained by this. A couple of minutes total for all three could be enough.
And then maybe someone will have volunteered to go first. Apologies if you have been doing a lot of these questions but it's often good in a new 'room'. Feel free to get in touch for any reason, and hope to see you there.
